40-Hour Comprehensive Mediation Training:  Level I and Level II

Comprehensive Mediation Training (40-hour Certificate of Completion)—June 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12, 2010 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Offered once a year.  Participants learn mediation from the inside out, come away with valuable conflict-resolution skills, gain an understanding of best practices, and learn how to build a successful career in the field.  San Rafael, Marin County, California; lodging information is available upon request.


Advanced Mediation Training—November 4, 5, and 6, 2010
This is an innovative, in-depth course designed to develop advanced mediation skills
and enhance your professional standing.  It combines an independent-study component
of your choice with advanced coursework.  Please contact Teresa Carey to discuss
the details if you would like to participate.


Conflict Management:  Theories and Practices—April 24 and May 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2010
Participants learn the theory and practice of managing and resolving conflict in a variety of contexts and forums, explore the sources and nature of conflict, and develop essential practice skills.  University of California, Berkeley.  Two (2) semester units in Business Administration; 30 hours MCLE credit.  (U.C. Berkeley Course No. EDP 323865; registration details at www.extension.berkeley.edu.)

Continuing Education

The full 40-hour training (resulting in a 40-hour Certificate of Completion) has been approved by the State Bar of California for 32 MCLE credits, including Ethics (2), Stress Management (1), and Elimination of Bias (1).  Approval for BBS, MCEP, and CFLS continuing-education credits is pending.

Participants who cannot attend on one of the above dates may be able to attend a subsequent session.

Certificates of Completion will be given only to those who attend the full 40 hours of the program.
